In our lives, we all experience losses: loss of a loved one, divorce, job, loss of health, opportunities, hope ... We all face difficult transitions that take us out of our comfort zone and throw us into panic, suffering or confusion. These are the moments that change us completely, for better or worse. You probably feel lonely and that nobody understands you, even when people around you are trying to help. What they don't understand is that you don't need "to get better." Hello, my name is Ligia and I want to share with you how I transformed my loss and transformed my life. Like you, I have faced losses in my life, but the most significant occurred when I was 12 years old. I was a very happy girl living in Nicaragua, my home country, when my life changed in the blink of an eye. My father died unexpectedly of an aortic aneurysm and my world turned upside down. My inner world actually stopped. I continued to live, but with great emptiness in my heart.

For many years, I tried to understand to be able to be at peace with his death, but I was trapped in my pain, without even knowing I was grieving.
